Here we have a 1795 Flowing Hair Silver Dollar of the 2 leaf variety. Examination of the curls and 7/1 overdate on the obverse and the number & position of berries on the reverse show it is a B-1, BB-21 variety, Rarity-2 (GSID: 199065)
A faint darkening of the obverse field on the upper third suggest improper cleaning/dip was performed some time ago, but it is minimal and does not detract from the eye appeal. This is a rare opportunity to obtain a really excellent example of the 1795 Flowing Hair Dollar, which will make an exciting and desirable addition to your collection
1795 Flowing Hair Silver Dollars are known in two different major varieties: 2 Leaves and 3 Leaves. To determine the variety, simply look at the leaf clusters beneath the eagle's wings -- the clusters will contain either two or three leaves.
In terms of relative rarity, the 2 Leaves variety is approximately three times as rare as the 3 Leaves variety. Mint State examples of both major varieties are rare and valuable.
