A 'God Preserve London' Elephant Token on the rare thin planchet rather than the more commonly encountered thick planchet. The thick planchet Elephant Tokens were struck on a planchet of similar size to the English half-penny of the late 17th Century. This thin planchet version is less than half the thickness of the thick planchet tokens and are estimated to be approximately seven times rarer than the thick planchet variety.
